Easter: Family and Loss

This past Sunday, our family celebrated a very bittersweet Easter. Our Nannie (my husband’s grandmother) passed away on Good Friday. She was supposed to spend the weekend with us, and the boys were so excited that she was coming over.

Spring Break family style

Our recent Spring break vacation to Florida was really sweet! We started out at my brother & sister in law’s home in Fort Myers who just recently had a baby, my very first niece which has me over the moon. The weather was beautiful, and we got to spend quality time with my family as both my parents were there was well. From there we headed south to Miami and spent Easter wknd w/ one my best friends and cousins which was also very sweet. Growing up I spent every weekend with my cousins and we were more like brothers and sisters so having the boys get to spend quality time with them and their kids is very important to me. I love how connected we all are and the love we all have for each other. After all the amazing family time we checked into the Mondrian hotel in South beach to spend the rest of our vacation there. Miami holds a very special place in my heart. I lived there when I was 20 on the beach just living my best life haha. It was so different back then and I can’t believe how much the city of Miami has grown. I absolutely love it there and even more experiencing it with my boys. Our stay at the Mondrian was amazing, totally recommend. There hospitality and how they cater to their guests is really outstanding. We were accommodated to a penthouse suite overlooking the bay side with views of the city of Miami, the sunset was unreal to say the least!
